Fort Pierce - Saltwater Fishing Report

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY - The snook action has been good around the Sebastian Inlet when using live baits. There has been a good number of trout reported around the Moorings Flats and still some redfish around the Spoil Islands. Look for the snapper along the channel edges and use a live shrimp.

Offshore there has been a good bottom bite for snapper and grouper in 90 feet of water out of the Sebastian Inlet. The dolphin action has remained steady when using ballyhoo.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY - There has been plenty of trout on most of the flats when you were fishing in 1 to 3 feet of water. The snook are working their way up on the flats but the best bite has been at the bridges and in the Ft. Pierce Inlet. Plenty of snapper being reported coming from just about anywhere you find structure. There has been a few pompano to the South in the river.

Offshore there has been a lot of dolphin reported in 60 to 150 feet of water with most of the fish in the 20 and 30 pound range. Also, a few wahoo and sailfish in that same depth but to the south of the Ft. Pierce Inlet. Bottom fishing is still good along the reefs and wrecks.

MARTIN COUNTY - The reports of snook around the Roosevelt Bridge at night have been very good. The trout bite has been good everywhere on the flats and there has been some pompano reported around the power lines of the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant. Still a lot of snook and big jacks around the St. Lucie River.

Offshore there has been good reports of dolphin starting in 60 to 400 feet of water. Several nice wahoo were reported along with a few sailfish. The bottom fishing along the Six Mile Reef has been excellent.

OKEECHOBEE COUNTY - The bass are staring to feed more now as the water conditions improve. A few specks are being caught in the river and a lot of bream are coming form the Rim Canal. Try your luck on the catfish in the big lake.
