Miami Beach Fishing is Hot

Capt. Ralph Mayans
August 18, 2025
Haulover Inlet - Saltwater Fishing Report

Summertime fishing is smoking hot and the fish keep coming bonita, trophy wahoo, and beautiful blackfin tuna in the 20 pound range are all being caught just outside the second reef between 100 and 300 feet of water. Deep sea fishing in off Miami Beach has his advantages as you don't have to spend a lot of time running. I literally caught these fish 10 minutes away from my dock – unbelievable - Sunny Isles and Haulover Park has its advantages due to the location. The fishing is quick and fast and always exciting. The wahoo ate a bonita strip on a seawitch in 350 feet of water.

Tight lines and stay safe,

Capt. Ralph
