Haulover Inlet - Saltwater Fishing Report

Spring time fishing is here and in full swing. April and May are my favorite time of year for fishing South Florida do to the variety of species you can acquire.

Inshore fishing have been consistent catching jack crevalles, snook, and tarpon under the bridges and fishing the inlets.

The sailfish have finally showed up in good numbers. Two boats caught over 40 sailfish in one day over the past few weeks. We have had many double digit days. Most of the best action has come a few hours before dark. Big blackfin tunas and schools of kingfish up to 35 lbs have been showing themselves as well.
The mahi-mahi haven't shown themselves yet but we are seeing the occasional one while live baiting.

I was able to do a couple Bahama trips catching mutton snapper, amberjacks, grouper, mahi, sharks, barracudas, and tuna just too name a few.

Fishing is red hot right now so see what's out there and take advantage before it dries up!
Till next time - stay tight,
Capt. Fred David
