Summer Action

Capt. Freddie David
August 26, 2021
Haulover Inlet - Saltwater Fishing Report

Summertime fishing continues to be hot! The weather and the fishing have been on fire the past couple weeks.

Some bigger snook are showing up in the canals, spillways, and inlets. These fish have been taken on live bait and artificial plugs. There are also some tarpon, jacks, and snappers biting while fishing on the inside.

Offshore fishing has been stable with plenty of false albacore around. There are also some blackfin tuna, sailfish, kingfish, and barracuda on the reef. The game sharks are still biting for those looking for that fish of a lifetime. While shark fishing we will soak a dead bonita on the bottom and wait for the clicker to go off. Once we are connected it is now man vs beast. Most of our sharks have been averaging from 150-300 lbs.

Bahamas have still been good with yellowfin tuna in the channel and some marlin action if you have the patience to wait for the right bite.

The seas have been calm lately and school will soon be in session. Take advantage of the time and weather and let's go fishing!

Tight lines,
