Wahoo and Kingfish on the Troll

Haulover Inlet - Saltwater Fishing Report

Deep sea fishing is in full swing. We have been catching sailfish, wahoo, tuna and sharks on 1/2 day and 3/4 day trips. A productive method has been trolling strips with pearl baby rigs. Most of the kingfish, wahoo and tuna are being caught between a depth of 120-400 ft. Wreck fishing for amberjack and sharks this season has produced a lot of trophy size catches. Additionally, when the conditions allow, we have been fishing live baits for sails under kites and using flat lines. This productive method of fishing can be a blast when done with light spinning tackle rigged with 40lb wind-on leaders. With warm weather and light tackle, we've been having some really fun days out on the water!
