Always Fishing florida vacation time

Capt. Frank Bourgeois
August 22, 2013
Hernando Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

What can I say about August, except I go on Vacation. Of course what do you expect out of Always Fishing during vacations. We went RVing and fishing. This was a very disappointing trip to find many of my great places that I fish was tainted with all the rain we have had. Fishncamp started in Ruskin fishing the little Manatee for a week. The RV park(River Oaks) was great. The fishing (so so) the areas I usually catch fish was very tainted. So we went home and grabbed the kayaks and headed for the Suwannee River. We went to Manatee Springs Sate park, once again the park was fun, we even feed deer right at our campsite. Once again tainted water and fast moving water. We also spent a couple of days in Mayo at the Suwannee River Rendezvous campground then went to the Bass Assassin factory. This was a large factory maintained by a very efficient staff. The baits are all made here in the USA and packaged and shipped by people not machines.

In between trips I also did a couple of offshore trips with grouper coming in from over fifty foot of water. Large sharks and cobia was also caught along with some nice amberjacks.

Inshore waters are also affected by the rain. Close to shore in the Chasawiska area was tainted, but a few miles offshore the water is clear and some grouper are still being caught on the shallow water rocks.
