The latest fly fishing rods, reels, line, vises, clothing and other gear will be displayed and demonstrated at the 2015 Florida Fly Fishing Expo at the IGFA Museum and Conference Center in Dania Beach, Oct. 23-24.
Event organizers say that already more than 20 exhibitors have signed on for the two-day event to showcase the newest products from G. Loomis, Hardy, Hell's Bay, Galvan, TFO, Simms, Nautilus, Wulff Fly Lines, Carbon Marine, EP Flies, Rainy's Flies, and Renzetti.
Displays will also include retailers and organizations such as Bonefish and Tarpon Trust, Osceola Outback Adventures, Strip and Feed Research, Ole Florida Fly Shop, Project Healing Waters, Florida Fish and Wildlife, Bass Pro Shops, Fly Shop of Miami, and Casting for Recovery.
This may be the single best opportunity for suppliers to meet and chat with the most avid fly fishing consumers and our exhibitors know this," said Tom Gadacz, President of the Florida Council of the International Federation of Fly Fishers (IFFF). "We're excited for all those who will be part of the what may be the biggest and best Florida Fly Fishing Expo in the six-year history of this event."
Gadacz said that in addition to the displays fly fishers from across the Southeastern U.S. are registering to attend a number of skill improvement workshops presented by well-known experts like Chico Fernandez, Jon Cave, Andy Mill, Nick Curcione, Rob Fordyce, Alex Lovett-Woodsum, Rich Keating, Joe Gonzalez, Pat Ford, Honson Lau, Cordell Baum, Bou Bosso, Pete Greenan, David Lambroughton, Jamie Allen, and Mark Benson.
They are among more than 25 fishing celebrities who will lead hands-on clinics, demonstrations and workshops for beginning through advanced fly casters, outdoor photography, fly fishing techniques, tying effective new fly patterns, fly casting distance and accuracy, and much more. The schedule will also include workshops for women only.
Cost to attend two-day, family-friendly expo, including all seminars and workshops, is just $25. There is no admission fee for those 16 and younger when accompanied by an adult.
