Hernando Beach Inshore Report

Hernando Beach - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hernando Beach Fishing Report

Capt. Josh Fritz

Fishing is great here in Hernando Beach the trout action is on FIRE in 10 to 12 feet of water. Look for spotty bottom grass, sponges, rocks use 1/4 ounce jig heads with a gulp shrimp or mirr o lure little john soft bait. Work the jig across the bottom twitching the rod tip up and letting the bait fall back down to the bottom the trout will thump it on the fall.

Red fish action is good on the incoming tide I like a early morning tide for best action, live bait is the best way to catch them right now. Green backs and pin fish are my go to baits. Target the out side points and islands with mullet schools.

Snook season is open now. For the last 3 years snook season has been closed from the nasty cold weather we got 3 winters ago that killed a lot of snook. Now we are catching more snook than in years and I would still practice catch and release.

Scallop season ends on the 24th of September we are still getting our limit on every trip out and they are very thick.

Book your self a fishing trip ASAP not many dates left open visit my website for SPECIALS RATES..
