Hernando Beach - Freshwater Fishing Report

Bass should be quite playful right now because they're normally a bit hungry after spawning. I'd expect that catches should be wonderful through the next month until water temperatures reach their summer highs. Fishing should be consistent all day and into the evening so there's no need to worry about getting out there too early. Work the lily pads and weed lines for post spawn fish on the looking for food. Suspending baits in baitfish patterns should produce well till surface baits takes over.
