Homosassa - Saltwater Fishing Report
Winter Action Hot!
From the first shrimp put on, the action began as one redfish after another was reeled in on every single cast until we finally moved out from the spot to catch spotted sea trout.
It was a windy cold day, however, the sun was out and we were dressed for the weather. More than 60 fish were caught and released including jack crevalle, mangrove snapper, black drum and redfish.
For Scott Delk and his Dad, Kenneth of Tulsa, Oklahoma, the day could not have been better as the action kept on until it was time to call it a day.
A few fish were kept for dinner and the rest were released to give another angler a thrill.
This not so secret spot will continue to produce throughout the winter season, as long as the gulf water remains in the high 50’s.
