Homosassa - Saltwater Fishing Report

Television Fishing Report
As most of you who know me locally, I used to write for the Chronicle, a weekly outdoors column mainly about the local fishing. Well, bigger and better things are about to happen. A new job reporting for Sunshine Network, Inc. begins on March 31.
The sports network is now commonly referred to as Sun Sports. For subscribers in Central Florida, Bright House Cable Sun Sports is located on Channel 31. Viewers in Miami dial onto channel 35.
The name of the show is the Chevy Trucks Florida Fishing Report. You can learn how the show began last year by tuning in on Monday night March 27th at 7:00 P.M. for a special introduction to the upcoming premier on March 31 which also airs at 7:00 P.M.
The March 27 show title is "Under the Lights: Florida Fishing" where viewers meet Chevy Florida Fishing Report hosts Whit Watson and world-class guide, Captain Rick Murphy. They'll discuss the behind-the-scenes making of the Emmy-award winning show produced by Ken Kavanaugh which returns March 31 for its much-anticipated second season. Whit and Rick also discuss the excitement and addiction fishing is for both novices and professionals, and what makes Florida such a popular destination. Highlights are conservation, including the catch and release system used by the guides, the impact on tourism and the economy, sponsorship growth and more stuff like possibly mentioning me and the other reporting captains are in the one-hour special.
My part in the Chevy Trucks Fishing Report includes an area from Tarpon Springs to St. George Island where I will rely on my own experience along with top notch guides and marina information on what’s biting and where and of course when. The show is 90 minutes long. My time to air is about the middle of the show.
So tune in folks to what will be a good time to learn about Florida’s fishing from some of the best guides in the state. You can learn more about the show’s reporters and schedule by logging on to http://www.sunsportstv.com
On another note; please keep the Lunsford Family in your prayers and write to your legislators about how the justice system to correct sex offenders be revised to punish those who violate the innocent lives of children like Jessica Lunsford who was doing nothing to provoke a man who was the offender should have never been allowed to be on the streets much less across the street from the Lunsfords’ as a displaced and not accounted for repeated sex offender by the parole board of that offender. Thank God she is by His side.
