Homosassa - Saltwater Fishing Report
Variable Winds Begin Reel Action
Today is the second day the wind went around to the west. Still some east wind in the morning, but that is sort of normal.
Grouper fishing off shore in 30-40 foot depths has picked up as well as a few kings showing up according to Capt. Don Chancey.
Captains Jim Long, Ray Wallace, Jr. Fred Lyles and I guided Vulcan Materials group from Asheville, N.C. Dennis Atkins, Gary Strupe and James kept 12 trout, one rock bass and two redfish.
Longs’ clients Darrell and company limited out on trout and had three nice redfish. A small accident happened when Big “D” tossed Long’s rod and reel in the water. D said he felt bad and Jimmy said he about bit his lip into after saying it was ok. Hey --it happens!
Well we are looking forward to fishing again tomorrow going off shore to catch a mixed bag.
