Mosquito Lagoon, North Indian River & Banana River

Indian River Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

May 5th - Banana River Redfish and Trout

Today I fished with Matt from Merritt Island. Matt, not only is a super angler, but alot of fun to fish with.

We focused our attention on the wads of baitfish that are stacking up on the flats. We threw topwater plugs early, in and around these and were rewarded with several Trout up to 4 lbs.

The Redfish were not as active as they have been of late, probably due to the full moon. Matt was able to get this beautiful (9 spot) Redfish to take his offering.

The winds are laying down in the mornings and the fish are active.

LET'S GO FISHING!
