Mosquito Lagoon, North Indian River & Banana River

Indian River Lagoon - Saltwater Fishing Report

Never Give Up!!

I had the pleasure of spending the day on the boat with Jeff and his son Taylor. The Taylor family was here in Florida for a well deserved vacation, and the boys and I went fishing.

Other than a little more wind than we would have liked the weather was beautiful! Unfortunately, the fish didn't see it that way and time after time refused to eat our offerings. With a "never say die" attitude we finally found some fish that were willing to play.

Taylor holds a nice Redfish that put on quite a show as it attemped 3 to 4 times, to eat our live mullet on the surface within 10 feet of the boat.

We also missed several opportunities at Snook around mangroves and docks...oh well that's fishing! Thanks guys....I enjoyed the day!!
