Bonefish on the outgoing

Capt. Richard Burson
October 2, 2008
Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

The bonefish are hungry but only on the outgoing tides! We caught three 10-01-08 on dead shrimp. It was my buddy's, who will remain nameless as he is a captian who has only caught two bonefish in his life (both with me). One his behaf he does not like waiting and has little patience so patch reef fishing is more his style. When he caught the bone he developed a fever for bones! Maybe I have converted him, we will wait and see!

I took a couple out today and it was a mixed bag. We caught snook, redfish and snappers. They wanted to fun fish so i am to please. These guys are returning fuests and last time they cauf=ght a HUGE Sawfish! I have to tell you I was a little nervous that i would not beable to produce the excitement that we had last time but well at the end of the day we had a great time!

Islamorada Fishing Forecast:

BONEFISH ONLY ON THE OUTGOING TIDES!!!

Target Species:

BONE FISH

More Fishing Reports:

I am a South Florida native who has been fishing the local waters from Biscayne Bay to Islamorda for over 20 years. After obtaining my captain's license, I have been chartering light tackle and fly fishing enthusiasts in the Key Largo area and Everglades National Park. My fishing speciality is targeting Snook, Redfish and Sea Trout in the backcountry and Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit on the ocean side flats that surround the upper keys. Lets have a great day on the water!
