Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Last week I had a good friend of mine in town to fish the Islamorada-Sarasota Shootout. Frank and I fished in an 18 foot Dolphin Skiff because my brand new Mercury Verado was broke down again! (btw any ideas besides buying a Yamaha?)
We pre-fished Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday finding all the big trout and snook we needed to win. We also found lots of small tarpon, redfish, and unfortunately, some big-ass bull sharks.

On Thursday and Friday, we were joined by my friend Patricia who absolutely loves to fish more than anyone! Maybe even me.
Frank and Patricia caught lots of snook, trout, tarpon, and redfish to take first and second place in the trout division up to 30". They caught snook up to 33" but got beat out by a couple of fish at 35".
Target Species:

snook, trout
