Capt. Marc Toledo

Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing in Islamorada has been very good this week. There have been alot of 3 to 5 lb schoolie size Mahi and some good Blackfin Tuna fishing offshore. In addition there was a Blue Marlin caught this week in the 100 lb range and the daytime Swordfish action has been good with some fish in the 150lb class being caught. There was a few Sailfish caught this week and a good Yellowtail bite in 90 ft of water. What makes Islamorada so special to fish is the many different types of fish that are available to caught. This time of year always produces good Tarpon action and with the tarpon are alot of big sharks, plus we have great Barracuda fishing on the reef.
