10/8/11 + 10/9/11 'Glades and Islamorada fishing!

Capt. Richard Stanczyk
October 9, 2011
Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Rick Stanczyk had regulars Lee and Rob down for some florida keys fishing this past weekend. Weather was a little crummy, pretty rainy and overcast both days. First day we avoided it till the end. Had a two boat trip, made it back to flamingo early. Had good falling tide for a 1.5 hours. Caught lots of snappers and jacks, one nice red, a few big black drum, a couple small snook. Large bullshark got a few other nice reds unfortunately. Hit a mud on the way back, some trout, ladyfish, and one pompano.

Earlier today we had more rain early and it cleared up later. Just Lee and Rob today. We fished close by Islamorada and bonefished. Some guys had been catching them here and there, stake up fishing with the overcast windy weather. We caught a couple bonnet heads early, got chased by weather briefly, went back out and Lee caught this nice 9 lber! Worth it to catch an islamorada bonefish for these guys! Great to have easy going customers like these who are willing to fish the conditions!
