Islamorada awesome deep dropping

Capt. Bruce Andersen
January 15, 2015
Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

The deep drop fishing for tilefish, snowy grouper, yellow eye snapper, vermillion snapper, black fin snapper, and queen snapper has been phenomenal the last few days. Today we headed out for an afternoon 1/2 day of deep dropping aboard the Capt. Easy out of Holiday Isle marina in Islamorada. We had perfect conditions today with light winds, flat calm seas, and a moderate current of about a knot. We started off catching the vermillions, black fin snapper, and yellow eye's in about 400' of water. The bite was fast paced and after putting about 40 nice snapper in the box we headed out to the 700' depths and capped off the day with a bunch of nice tile fish and a snowy grouper.
