Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

Islamorada Sea Horse Deep Sea Fishing Report
Today marks the first day of the 47th annual Islamorada Sailfish Tournament at Whale Harbor. 27 teams entered the three day event to compete for Prizes and Trophies. The first day anglers started off at 0830 fishing in a brisk 20 knot north wind. Not to be deterred by the choppy conditions a total of 69 Sailfish were caught and released. The lead boat caught 8 Sailfish. They are in a comfortable position next to their nearest competitor with 7 releases. All competing boats are dialed in for the second day since the weather will become perfect by tomorrow morning. Stay tuned for tomorrow's report and see how many fish are caught.
