islamorada Sea Horse Off shore Report

Capt. Rick Rodriguez
April 27, 2017
Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have been catching Mahi Mahi consistently off shore in 400 feet to 1200 feet. Most of the fish have been around sargasso weed and floating debris. Schooling size fish have been the most abundant; however there have been some bigger fish caught.

Yellow tail Snapper have been easy to catch along the edge of the reef. The more chum you use the better. Bigger yellow tail can be caught in 90 feet of water,

The Islamorada hump has the tunas and near the bottom plenty of amberjacks. The sharks have been eating the jacks during the fight on a regular basis,

Islamorada Fishing Forecast:

More mahi mahi should migrate up the towards the islamorada for months to come.

Target Species:

mani wahoo tunas
