Islamorada Sea Horse Off shore Report

Capt. Rick Rodriguez
May 4, 2017
Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

The month of May fishing has been very good in the Islamorada area. Reef fishing for yellow tail snapper, mutton snapper, and grouper. The charter boats working the reef have had extremely productive fishing trips.
Off shore deep drop fishing for amberjacks, tile fish, snowy grouper and other fish has been ideal since the gulf stream current has been about 15 miles off the coast. The slower current has made it easier to fish the bottom.

In and around the gulf stream has been great for Mahi Mahi. Lots of happy anglers catching school size mani. Some bigger fish have been caught in the area also.

Islamorada Fishing Forecast:

More Mahi

Target Species:

mani and everything else
