Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report
Dolphin fishing has really picked up for us aboard the Captain Easy over the past few weeks down here in Islamorada. Every day has been a little different, and it can still be a little hit or miss, but we've had several outstanding trips lately. We recently had a great day with a box full really nice schoolies and gaffers as well as this 40# bull.
The next trip we saw more nice schoolies and gaffers and then the next day we had another spectacular trip with another box full of fish including this bull that went 46#.
Both of the 40 pounders where caught sight casting live bait on 20# spinning tackle. The mahi fishing hasn't been the only thing going on down here. swordfishing has also been very good for us when we've gone. We caught this 250 pounder the weekend before.
It was a nice streak of swordfishing for us as we caught a small fish the trip before and a 90 pounder the day after this fish.
