Tarpon bite is hot..hot..hot

Capt. Izzy Donatiello

Islamorada - Saltwater Fishing Report

The tarpon fishing is in high gear. During the day, dead bait is the ticket. After dark, crabs can't be beat. In the park the cuts are still holding trout, snapper and tarpon.

On the blue water side, the dolphin fishing is good. There are a good number of slammer dolphin being caught. The bigger fish are coming from under birds. Blackfin tuna are also on the humps. There are some wahoo around as well. The down side is the fish are out 15 to 30 miles. On the reef, the snapper and grouper fishing is also good.
