Islamorada Florida Sea Horse Sport Fishing Report
Islamorada area is loaded with Black fin tuna and Mahi in 600 feet of water and closer. The hump has an outstanding morning bite going on. No live bait required here, just slow troll small lures and hang on. Many of the tunas are in excess of ten pounds. Be quick to get these fish in the boat since there are a bunch of Sharks and Barracudas lurking in the depth waiting to eat any fish in distress. The Mahi are hanging around floating debris and weed lines. Most of the weed lines that are on the edge of a current have produced some large fish. The larger fish are moving up the weed line with the current lately and are very cooperative. These fish have been traveling in small packs and appear to have no loyalty to each other. If you want to catch more than one of these fish at a time, be prepared to chase them down.
