Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

All the rain and high winds last week didn't seem to change the fishing to much. On a trip this past Friday with Jon Fredricks and his son Eric it was a nice mix of fish…

We mostly float fished live shrimp in the river. About the only thing we didn't catch was a Flounder I think.

We even caught a few Mangrove Snapper which is a little early for them to be in the river system. There were also some nice Jacks in the mix which are always fun to catch and a very hard fighting fish.

The main target was Trout and Reds and we did manage to catch several nice Trout and 4 Reds in the 5 pound class along with some Rat Reds. It was a great morning on the water and the fish were certainly ready to eat after a week of bad weather.

Thanks for a great time Jon and Eric and I hope to see you again next year.
