Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

On Sunday, May 6th, the ocean was actually kind to us. It's been so windy this year that we've not been able to hunt fish the way we would like to this time of year. It's almost like we have been stuck doing what the ocean let's us do, and it's tough to make a great day when it's like that. On Sunday however, the ocean was nice; we had a 12hr trip scheduled, so we decided to stretch it out. The crew wanted to bottom fish so that's what we did. We put the smackdown on a box of fish. We ran 50 miles and bottom fished some ledges we haven't been able to reach in quite some time and the fish were ready. We had a limit of beeliners, 23 triggerfish, red porgy, amberjack, almaco jack, grouper, tossed back a ton of red snapper up to 19lbs, and a dolphin!
