Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report
Well the monster flood tides have made the tailing Red fishing start a little early this year. Even though it's a very slow and patient way of Red fishing it's also very rewarding when you get one hooked up.
I try to ease along in the thinner grass instead of wading out of the boat. When you spot one the cast is very important. Once you figure out which way they are pointing then a very accurate cast is needed. If all that comes together you usually will hook up. I saw 3 tailing Reds the other day and spooked 1 of them and hooked the other 2 but only boated one and it was well worth it.
The Trout are all over the river with some decent Jacks mixed in. The Flounder are also getting larger and showing in better numbers.
October and November are 2 of my favorites months in Jacksonville Florida as far as fishing go. Everything seems to go on the feed and I mean are hard feed.
