Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report
Big cold front dropped water temperature to 55 degrees but it didn't hurt the fishing to much. Last week we saw cold weather but after a few days of warm weather the water is back to where it needs to be this time of year.
The Blue fish remain relentless when ever you get near them and the Drum are still feeding good. I haven't fished for the Reds much because the Trout bite has been so good but it will be a go to soon.
I also started seeing some schools of bait last week and you know what that means. They were mostly Glass minnows and there is not a fish that swims in North Florida that doesn't love them.
You will always find some schooling fish under the Glass minnows and it's usually Trout/Blues/Jacks this time of year. Just look for the birds and if they are picking up scraps you need to fish under them.
On a charter last Thursday 5th we threw plastics catching lots of Blue fish and Trout but most of them were on the small side. I finished up float fishing live shrimp and we caught 6 Drum in the 5 pound range a several more Trout.
It was a great morning and the fishing remains very steady.

Fishing is better every day. The Drum and Trout are on fire. There are lots of nice Blue fish and the Flounder are starting to show up.
