Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Christmas is over now and we had several very nice days' last week weather wise and fishing wise!!!
I can't say the same for this week because the forecast is not looking very good. I always love to start the new year out with a fishing trip but if the forecast holds the boat will stay on the hill New Years day. They have been wrong before…

The Trout have been on fire like I always say most of them are small this time of year but when you can catch 30 to 50 of them in a few hours throwing plastics WHO CARES. Bending a rod is always better than not! And if you like to eat them we have been mixing in a handful of keepers.

The Drum seemed to have picked back up a little bit and the large Reds gave me a quick bite the other day also.

It's hard to stare at 6 to 8 pound Red fish swimming around your baits and not even paying attention to them. The one fish I did hook up the other day was 8lbs and I bet I thru at him 10 times before he decided to pick it up. That one fish was well worth the hour we sat on that school of fish.

I wish every one a happy New Year and I'll see you on the water!
