Fishing Jacksonville & Mayport

Capt. Bryan Russell

Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

Inshore

Fished the i.c.w. Saturday with a 2 man charter.

After formulating a game plan, we decided on some good old fashioned float fishing.

I love float fishing for 2 very good reasons:

1.) IT WORKS!

2.) Its simple to teach a new person.

We made one stop all day! one anchor set and we Caught doubles on nearly every drift of the falling tide.we caught 36 seatrout as well as a nice mess of yellowmouth trout, all on a Saturday with few boats on the water! went through 8 dozen shrimp on a 4 hour charter.

If you can't or don't want to go offshore, Find a nice shell or sandbar and set up shop for a tasty fish fry.

Hopefully i'll be able to get offshore soon to pick up were Ileft off blistering the snapper and grouper.

Have a GREAT week!.........Tight lines and screamin' dragsm, Capt. Bryan Russell
