Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report
Time to head to the beach!
The Beach is hot, hot, hot! - 13 Jul 2006
Tarpon are showing up in impressive numbers on the beach. The typical morning this past week has put several cobia in the boat, lots of Blacktip sharks, and the tarpon have started to show at a steady enough pace to start targeting them on a regular basis. 3 days ago before the rough water we had no less than a dozen tarpon rolling all around our boat as we chummed and fished the pods. We jumped one that day.
the biggest surprise has been the regularity which we are hooking up to nice cobia. wev'e had 2 in the low 30's and a 40 lber this week.
Its a great time to be on the water, right now. Tarpon, sharks, cobia on the beach. Kingfish, cobia and sharks on the inshore reef. And some decent catches of snapper and grouper on the local wrecks.
Book your trip for an exciting time on the water.
