Seeing Red!

Capt. James Howard
June 11, 2010
Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

The Red fishing is as good as it has ever been in the back waters of North Florida right now. There are plenty of fish and the quality is also good. Lots of fish in the 4 to 8 pound range and they are not shy…

Pick any oyster mound or deep cut in a shallow creek and you will be on the Reds. The Tarpon are also all over the beach and I'm seeing quite a few in the back waters. The unlimited supply of bait every where in the river and creeks has all the fish in a feeding frenzy!

The nice Trout in the 3 to 5 pond range are in the river now and I have been catching 15 to 20 Trout each trip. The Flounder are also bunching up. Once you find one you should be able to catch quite a few.
