Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

I fished the jetties yesterday with Dave E and his son Derrick.
We absolutely destroyed the trout!
After 30 or more fish on the float rigs, we switched over to soft plastics to catch even more than on live bait! AND the fish were much bigger!
We had quite a few fish pushing 4 pounds, and even the small ones were nice.
Now is GO TIME for Trout, redfish, drum and sheepshead. The weather seems to be leveling out to normal spring patterns.
I anticipate the fishing to be Red hot for the next month or so inshore. Then the cobia will start showing up! This is my favorite time of year, the only real problem will be "What do we want to catch"? As everything will be going off.
Spanish are starting to trickle in, But the real story is the offshore bottomfishing! This is one of the best spring bottom fishing seasons in a long time. Theres plenty of legal Red snapper to be caught within 15 miles of the beach. Also hit and miss grouper, but the fish caught have been really nice ones. Sea bass, Beeliners and triggerfish are also on the menu.
This is also the time to catch offshore flounder sometimes in big numbers, as the fish stage on the inshore wrecks preparing to move back into the river.
This is definatly the best time of year to be on the water.
Call now to book the best dates.
Also a side note: I will be offering offshore Butterfly jigging charters for experienced anglers. Come check out the new rage on the fishing scene.
Imagine the slammming strike of a toothy gamefish as you jig in 80+ feet of water! All I can say is you have to experience it to believe it! WOW!
