Still Waiting on The Fall Run!

Capt. James Howard
November 17, 2009
Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

I was able to slip out and try the Flounder gigging this past Friday night. Even though November is usually the best month as far as the size of the Flounder so far this year I'm not seeing the big ones like I should…

I really hope they haven't made there big push to the ocean for the winter. Maybe it will be later this year! There is no shortage of Red fish in the creeks and there are some STUDS.

I saw several Reds while I was gigging that were in the 30 inch range. The Sheepshead are also doing good at the jetties along with the Red fish.

The Trout are still a good bite also with plenty of nice ones. Our weather has been perfect and as soon as the water temp drops about 5 more degrees the fishing should be off the charts…
