Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report
This was part two of a two part Saturday. The ocean had layed down from the morning so it was a nice ride back out to the SE. I knew the dirty water was out to BR so I decided to head for HG to see if the clean water was a little farther out. The water did appear to be a little cleaner. We hit the first spot and got a 35lb amberjack and that was it. We moved to the next spot and nothing. Moved a couple miles to another spot and it marked up pretty good on the bottom machine. We anchored down and it was wide open for 2 hours with big black sea bass, red snapper, and some beeliners. We ended up with 4 nice snapper up to 10lbs, released several undersized ones, about 25 nice sea bass up to 3lbs, a few beeliners, the 35lb amberjack, and a few sharpnose sharks. These guys knew how to have fun. I really enjoyed watching them catch fish. Between the high fives and trash talk, it was really a great evening. On the ride in, we got to enjoy a beautiful sunset over a flat ocean. What a day!! Thanks for a great trip guys! Thanks for the help Brian; I hope to fish with you guys again some day!
