Windy Windy Windy...........

Capt. James Howard
January 18, 2010
Jacksonville - Saltwater Fishing Report

There has been no shortage of wind in North Florida the last few days. I mean real wind! Wind in the 20 to 30 knot range. That's enough to keep me at the house…

On the other hand the temperatures have returned back to normal for this time of year. Fishing the other day was a little slow I think mainly because of the below normal water temps that we reached. The good thing is that they have started to return to normal also.

The Reds and Drum have both slowed in the creeks but should be back on track by the end of the week. The Trout are still stacked up in good numbers and are still hitting plastics. They are real sluggish but they will eat.

The Trout are closed down in North Florida the month of February. You can still catch them but you can't keep any.

Before you know it we will be talking about the spring time and the changes in the fishing patterns!!!
