A Nice Mixed Bag Offshore Fishing

The Jupiter Florida Fishing Report: Fishing offshore has been great! It is a mixed bag of action. With the water being warm, who knows whats on the end of your line until you get the fish to the boat. Get that fish to the boat fast because the sharks are hungry. However, on those sharks there are some Cobia and a ton of rainbow runners. Giving us great ultra lite action.

Dolphin fishing has been good on some days! The Mahi's are scattered from the ledge to 1,000 feet. Locating weed lines is key to success to catch these fish.

The King Mackerel bite is good! Some days the fish have been schooled up on the ledge thick, sky rocketing live baits, other days they are more scattered and harder to come by.

It's a Bonita invasion on the ledge. I'm trying to stay away from these fish but a school usually finds us and gives us a work out. Occasionally in these schools there is a black fin tuna. It just takes stamina to get through the bonitas.

This week we caught several African Pompano. Yum! These fish are cool! The way they tear drag off the reel and taste makes them a top notch game fish in my book.

Bottom fishing has been heating up! It's a mixed bag of yellowtail snapper, vermilion snapper, mutton snapper, trigger fish, and jumbo porgies. These fish are eating pretty much any dead bait. Its a great time of year to be on the water! Summertime is great for constant action and a mixed bag of fish. We still have a few open dates in July.
