Jupiter Inlet, Hobe Sound & Juno Beach

Capt. Colin Hickey
April 5, 2006
Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report

April 1 - April 8

There is a very visible color change between 125' and 250' you just have to find it. It changes everyday either moving east or west, but I dont know how much longer it will be around for. In the color change the water temperature rises about 2 degrees. There are plenty of dolphin but they are still fairly small. Still waiting for more Wahoo.

The Reef

The reef has had some action. Cuda's, Sharks, and amberjacks have been showing up. I've also heard of some charter guys getting decent size snapper. Still keep an eye on the King bite, they have been getting them dropping to the reef and also with flat line live bait, as well as trolling blue runners.

Along the Beach

Pompano have been around the pier, ive heard. I hardly fish around the beach unless if I am getting bait, but stories about Pompano, and Cobia are still around is what I've been hearing.
