Jupiter Inlet, Hobe Sound & Juno Beach

Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report

Rough ocean limits offshore fishing

The middle to end of last week caused huge swells. Since I don't surf I do not pray for a rough ocean. I guess that is why coastal floridians are split into two categories the surfers and THE MEN (Fishermen).

Besides the fact, inshore fishing has been popular. A friend of mine caught some red fish and snook out of Lake Worth Inlet. There is also live bait off the jetty down there, mostly mullet. The snook bite has been consistent also, supposedly people are anticipating the snook moving to the bridge.

As far as offshore fishing goes the snapper and kingfish bite has been great. Live bait is always the best way to go I believe. Other than that I will hopefully have a better report shortly.

Smooth seas and hopefully that Cat 3 storm out east wont blow rough seas over here like Gordon did.
