Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report
Dolphin scarce, bait shows off Jupiter
The best part about fishing this week was the influx of spanish sardines and cigar minnows outside of Jupiter inlet. Even with live bait, fishing this week was pretty slow.
Late last week the water on the beach was 77-78 degrees for 2-3 days, then it was back down to 73 degrees again. The bluewater was out in 400-600 feet with no hard edge to it, making for tough conditions trolling. We trolled artificials that produced two weeks ago and did not get a bite.
Wreck fishing has been fairly consistent for snapper, amberjack, cobia, bonito and an ocassional sailfish or blackfin tuna. Sharks are always around when there action below.
As of this evening there was another good push of warm water up on the beach, so finding decent conditions on the "drop" should be productive. This weekends windy weather pattern looks to keep many small boats from heading offshore. But I'm anticipating better fishing once the weather settles down.
Good luck and be safe.
If calling for info relating to a fishing charter please call my cell phone # first. Most of the time I'm on the water until 6pm. 561 352-7844.
