Jupiter - Saltwater Fishing Report
Windy weather hampers offshore efforts.
It seems like forever Mother Nature has turned the fan on. I've lost count on how many weeks, not days that the wind has blown 15-30 mph creating hazardous conditions for all but the largest of vessels. Needless to say we have not fished much in the last few weeks. Not only can the inlets be treacherous but it's just not fun to have to hold on to something every step you take for 4 or more hours. The wind has got to stop some time. We hope!
The few days we did get out we were rewarded with dolphin, wahoo, kings, bonito, snapper, grouper and jumped our first sailfish in some time.
Reports from the larger boats have been good. The fish are here and cooperating so I would expect great fishing once conditions improve. The next few days may be decent wind wise but we'll have to dodge some rain squalls.
Snook fishing has been good at times in Jupiter inlet, but with the wind it's been easier just to fish from the jetty. Live croaker, pinfish and mullet have produced for those putting in the effort.
I still have not seen much live move in the inlet so we'll have to look for it.
Please check to the weather forecast carefully and pick your days to go. The fish will be waiting.
Palm Beach, known as the "Gold Coast" is golden when it comes to offshore fishing. It’s no secret the waters off Jupiter and Palm Beach are known as “Sailfish Alley”.
