Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
April 27, 2001
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Choppy Seas Light up the Fishing

With the winds whipping close to 25 knots this morning and the seas beginning to build. But the fishing was so good you hardly noticied. We fished the area from the Sea Buoy to the Monument can and found plenty of Dolphin and heard of a few Sailfish. The Dolphin were in !20 ft. to 200 and on Floaters and on Grass patches. The sailfish action took place best to the north off the Sea buoy. Kingfish were also biting in the area in front of Fowey and south off Triumph Reef.

Bait has been tough so search hard in the bay. Bug was dead to day and the Cut was tough.

Tight Lines.
