Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
October 11, 2001
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Weather a Problem

Well as I stated in my last report, I thought we had a motor down and would miss the week. Thank God the problem was just very minor and we have fixed it already. Monday we got out and caught 10 nice Dolphin on a Palet that was floating in 800 ft. There was a Hawk over it and that always makes them easy to find. There were lots of fish on it but most would not bite. On the edge the action has been scarce. This wind the last few days could really confuse the fish and get them hungry. The bait could get pushed into the bay and May be create some good Mackeral fishing. We will have to wait for the winds to die a bit and then get out. We are fishing Friday so I'll touch base then.

Tight Lines
