Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Finally
It seemed like for ever but finally Friday with only 4 baits in the water it happened. The first Sailfish of the Season while officially Kite fishing. It ate the short just like probably 100 last season, the thing was we have been trying for almost two weeks to get even a bite with out luck. Well now we feel the jinks is gone and better things are to come. Now the unfortunate thing is we were the only one in this area to catch one. We were fishing in 120 off the Sir Scott. The fish ate a threadfin dangled from the kite. We also caught 3 kings, one in the 30 lb. class, they also ate a bait from the kite. The water color on the edge was dark green and there was not much current, now that can change and probably will in the next couple of days. The action in the Ft. Lauderdale event going on right now was slow all day until only a couple of hours left in the day when 46 fish were caught. This is a good sign. Most of the time it means the action will continue through out the period the weather is cool, or until the next front rolls through.
Bait was good.
Got to go fising now. Tight Lines.
The Coral Reef Bronco's Football team would like to thank all the people that attented the Killian, Columbus Football game Friday Night and Donated money to the team. My boys team is trying to earn $9000,00 to go play a game in Orlando for the National Title. Thanks again. CApt/Coach Quinton Dieterle
