Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
January 24, 2002
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hot Bite

Today the seas were choppy to say the least. We had a couple of Men on Board that could take anything. I guess there men, That's what they call themselves. Its a joke they are from the Music Group BOYS TO MEN. The 3 guys have not been fishing but one other time that they don't talk about to much. (Fishing Must Have Been Slow) But today they will be singing a good tune, a tune of line spooling off there reels and Sailfish crashing across the surface of the ocean. Shawn Caught and released his fish and Mike caught and released his sailfish. Nathan lost his sailfish after a 10 minute battle but did get a Dolphin. Over all it was exciting and will give them something to sing about for a while. The fishing was fantastic all day some boats caught over 10 fish. We spent most of the day coming in and out running 2 half days but did catch 3 for the day. They were up and down the coast and caught in 100 to 150 ft.

Thread fins were the hot bait today. Good Luck
