Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
March 23, 2002
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Red Hot

Action on Friday can only be described as RED HOT.

We started the day off trying for kingfish on the altra freeze wreck off key biscayne. At first they did not bite but as the day went on the action got hot. We ended up with 21 kings and alot of big ones. Some up to 25 pounds. They were biting live pilchards caught on the ledges off key biscayne. Sailfish action was good to, but not consistant all day. In the morning the action was good up till around 10 then died off. We saw some in the freebys but never got a good bite. In the afternoon we went back to the same area we started in the morning and once again found the kings and had a quad of sailfish up which we caught 2 of. It was a great day with consistant action through out. The Cutting Edge also did well on Wednesday and Thursday catching Sailfish, Dolphin and Kingfish.

Lets Go Fishing, Why Wait? The action is good
