Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
August 16, 2003
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Friday was Great Fising, Saturday was So So

Friday started off a bit slow. But by days end we had several nice dolphin and 50 schoolies. They were caught on floaters and on birds moving fast to the south. I though Saturday would bring the same but I was off a bit. I got a late start and was listening to the guys who know talking about how slow it was as I ventured out. So I decided to stay on the edge at first, it was very slow though we did catch a sailfish and miss one. But besides a couple of Kingfish bites that was it. We looked off shore and caught a half dozen dolphin on a board everybody had hit already. That was it. Now, if you find the right floater you could be in for some good action and if you don't watch out, your in for a slow day.
