Miami and Key Biscayne – offshore

Capt. Quinton Dieterle
January 17, 2005
Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sailfishing is unbelievable

This past month has been really unbelievable Sailfishing. From a couple of weeks ago when the fish were up on the reef eating bally hoo, to now when they are deep eating Threadfins and bigger baits. Last week fishing almost everyday we had at least 5 Sailfish a day and this week bout 3 or 4 a day. Though the numbers are down the action is still good with more bigger Dolphin showing up and taking time away from the sailfish. The fish have been nice size this week and they seem to be moving in packs. We had lots of doubles and triples. The weather has been warm until today. But it is still nice.

If your a sportsman and love catching sailfish this is the time.
