Sailfish are on the move of key biscayne Florida

Capt. Quinton Dieterle

Key Biscayne - Saltwater Fishing Report

For over 30 years the Cutting Edge and Captain and Q have loved the arrival of November. Not only does the weather begin to chill out the Sailfish migration begins south. As a ballyhoo me move onto the reef so do Sailfish. Along with the Sailfish mahi-mahi follow the same route, pushing ballyhoo up to the shallow reefs in 20 to 30 feet of water. The past week has been no exception catching 2 to 3 Selfish each trip. Our customers got to experience some of the rare opportunities of Casting to Sailfish in crystal clear water. This week we also caught plenty of big mahi-mahi and on Some days had up to 15 fish. Most of our customers staying on Key Biscayne Find it very convenient to make a short five minute drive to our boat and then only a short 20 minute run to the fishing grounds.

Key Biscayne Fishing Forecast:

We are expecting more exciting Sailfish action and Mahi-mahi action for the rest of this month and into December. We may begin to transition to kite fishing once a sailfish move off the reef. We should also start to catch more bottom fish such as Martin snapper, grouper's and cobia. Fishing Miami Florida at this time of the year should and will be a productive.
